I stayed two nights and three days. The first night i slept in About Icehotel Jukkasjärvi. Each spring, the hotel brings fresh ice for next year’s hotel rooms and lets designers and artists from around the world design the interiors with ice. Bigert & Bergström’s sauna Solar Egg will be standing on the banks of the river next to the hotel. The activity is held at the Jukkasjärvi Culture Sauna, close to the restaurant The Old Homestead, about 800 meters from Icehotel. The staff in Activity Desk are happy to assist you with a map upon request. You will receive your towel and bathrobe on site.

The original ice hotel since 1989, all made of snow and ice from Torne river. Each year reborn in a new guise in December; returning to mother nature come spring. The hotel holds ice rooms, art suites, a ceremony hall and a main hall with ice chandeliers.

The Ice Hotel Lapland is probably one of the coolest (pun totally intended) things you'll see while visiting northern Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The inside doesn’t even seem real and looking back at the photos, I feel like I’m looking at a children’s book I just casually walked into while in Sweden.
